We offer free clothing from our Thrift Store two (2) times per year per household.
Financial Assistance is available one (1) time per year per household for: Rent to avert eviction; Utilities to prevent shut off; Photo IDs; Antibiotic prescriptions.
Clients may come seeking the above assistance no more than one time in a calendar month, but may receive more than one service as long as eligibility criteria are met.

However, clients seeking clothing or financial assistance must arrive at the Client Services Office before 11 a.m. and for food assistance before 1:30 p.m.
Daystar Life Center is closed on weekends, federal holidays, and from Christmas through New Year's Day.
What to Bring if Seeking Services:

Please consider Daystar when thinking about a thrift store to donate furniture of any kind; appliances of any size and type; household items of any kind; clothing and accessories for children, women and men, including jewelry and shoes; exercise equipment; books and magazines, CDs and DVDs; toys and games; collector's items; electronic and audio-visual equipment; tools; cleaning and yard equipment.
PLEASE, do not donate anything that is damaged or in non-working condition; and no TVs except with flat screens and small screens. However, we will accept clothing that is torn or soiled as long as it is dry and bagged separately with a note: "recycle."
We will send our truck out for large items and for a large quantity of items, but not for donations that will fit into the trunk of a car. Call (352) 795-8668 to schedule a pick-up between 9:00 and 2:00 Monday through Thursday. Some Fridays and Saturdays are available to pick up items of good value. Please understand that our driver is instructed not to bring back anything he finds of little use or value. We cannot afford to bring back anything that will need to be hauled away as trash.
We will also pick up donations of large quantities of food for our Food Pantry.
